This pattern purchase includes the following files: instructions, A4 print-at-home pattern, A0 copy shop pattern, and plotter pattern for large format printing on a roll.
Cara is a close-fitting dress with an accentuated waist. It features an underbust seam as well as front and back princess seams transitioning into darts. The front has a deep square neckline with decorative bust cups. The set-in sleeves are long and feature elbow darts. The dress is finished with a free-hanging lining and fastens with an invisible zipper in the center back seam. Cara is above-knee length.
RECOMMENDED MATERIALS:
To sew this dress, choose dress-weight fabrics with the following properties:

medium weight, easily pressed and steamed, soft, non-stretch or with very little stretch, opaque

the fiber content can include natural fibers (wool, cotton), artificial fibers (viscose), blends (wool + polyester, cotton + viscose, etc.), and synthetics (polyester)

the following fabrics are recommended: dress-weight wool, suiting fabrics, gabardine
Attention! We do not recommend stretchy knit fabrics or lightweight sheer fabrics (chiffon, organza, stretch lace).
As an additional fabric for the decorative bust cups, we recommend materials with polyurethane, polyvinyl chloride (PVC) content and a knit or woven backing. The following fabrics are recommended: faux leather, faux suede.
For the lining, choose lining fabrics made of blends (viscose + elastane, viscose + polyester) or synthetics (polyester, polyester + elastane).
The dress in the photo is made of suiting fabric. The fabric is medium weight, soft, pliable, and with very little stretch. The fiber content is a blend of polyester, viscose, and spandex. The fabric weight is 350 g/m2.
As the additional fabric, we used faux leather with a woven backing. The fabric weight is 360 g/m2.
The lining's fiber content is a blend of viscose, polyester, and elastane. The fabric weight is 100 g/m2. The weight of the lining fabric for the additional fabric is 100 g/m2.
The interfacing weight is 30 g/m2. The weight of the interfacing for the additional fabric is 70 g/m2.
