Becky is a semi-fitted trapeze dress finished with a free-hanging lining. The dress features a deep square neckline and fastens with an invisible zipper in the center back seam. The front is fitted with bust darts transferred to the side seams while the back features shoulder darts transferred to the neckline. The long set-in sleeves are made up of two pieces. Becky is above-knee length.
Suggested Fabric
To sew this dress, choose dress-weight fabrics with the following properties:

medium weight, pliable, soft, non-stretch or with very little stretch, opaque

the fiber content can include natural fibers (wool, silk, cotton, linen), artificial fibers (viscose), blends (wool + silk, wool + polyester, cotton + viscose, etc.), and synthetics (polyester, polyester + elastane)

the following fabrics are recommended: dress-weight suiting, dress-weight wool, wool crepe, gabardine
Attention! We do not recommend stretchy knit fabrics and lightweight sheer fabrics (chiffon, organza, stretch lace).
For the lining, choose lining fabrics made of artificial fibers (viscose), blends (viscose + elastane, viscose + polyester), or synthetics (polyester, polyester + elastane).
The dress in the photo is made of suiting fabric. The fabric is medium weight, pliable, soft, and structured. It stretches slightly and resists wrinkles. The fiber content is 80% viscose and 20% spandex.
The lining is 100% viscose.

IMPORTANT! When purchasing fabric, please account for shrinkage and buy 5% more than required.
3. One invisible zipper, 60 cm (23 5/8”) long, for all sizes in all heights
4. Matching thread — 5 spools (1 spool for the sewing machine + 4 spools for the overlocker)
5. Stitched bias-cut fusible stay tape, 1–1.5 cm (3/8–5/8") wide, for all sizes in all heights — 1.2 m (1 1/4 yd)
