Our Dropped Shoulder Coat has been designed by us from looking at the trends from the AW18 catwalks from New York, London, Milan and Paris fashion weeks. The outerwear trend for capes and oversized shapes has returned, and that has inspired this silhouette.

This pattern is best used with a medium to heavy weight fabric, something that will hold the structure of the shoulder and sleeve shape. The side panel could be cut in a contrast colour or cut a short/cropped version to put your own unique spin on this pattern.

You will also need:

  • 360cm of fabric - based on a width of 140cm

  • 2 Snaps

  • 125cm of fusible

Difficulty

We have rated this pattern as Moderate. The coat overall is fairly simple, however the pocket construction is tricky and this is why we have rated this as moderate.

File Info

This PDF is made up of both A4 and A0 files, and instruction booklet.

The A4 version is made up of 48 pages. When printing select "Actual Size" in Print setup. A 10cm x 10cm square is included within the file (page5). Measure this to check the file is printing to accurate measurements

All pages are numbered and have a "map" (page 48) to show the full plan of the file.

All pages have an overlap of approximately 1.5cm, 1/2", and a dashed line boarder. This will enable you to accurately match each page.

THE A4 VERSION CAN BE PRINTED ON US LETTER. Do not change the scale, and where possible print centrally on the paper selecting boarder less printing. The overlap will be smaller but the overlap lines will appear in the page.

A0 version is made up of 3 pages.
