I’ve bought this elastic time and time again. It’s definitely not the cheapest but the extra cost is so worth it if your goal is to great long lasting, comfortable garments. This stuff holds its shape and doesn’t twist or fold over, even after multiple wears and washes.
I make a lot of skirts and trousers, and always use this soft elastic instead of waistbands. I hate an unyielding feeling around my middle. This super stuff in several colours works with most fabrics I use and makes it easy to make garments without a pattern as well as those with a gathered waist or requiring a channel for elastic. Much neater!

Lovely flexible elastic makes skirts and trousers easy to construct without having to install zips. Just cut side of garment so you have enough leeway for hips, cut elastic to fit your waist plus about two inches for overlap, sew overlap. Then gather, or if you're brave, just pin the top of the garment evenly to waistband elastic and stretch elastic as you sew. As you allow elastic to contract again, the slack gets taken up and bingo, there's the top done.
