Description
Say goodbye to frustration with ill-fitting store-bought jeans, and hello to cozy-yet-alluring Simple Skinny Jeans. Never sewn a pair of pants before? Not to worry, the pattern is deceptively easy. If you’ve sewn toddler pants before, you’ll be able to sew yourself some too. Thanks to the super-forgiving fit and a trick learned from my favorite post-maternity pants (a knit elastic waistband is everyone’s friend!) you won’t have to fret about fitting these jeans. With functioning patch pockets in the back and faux front pockets and fly, you can whip these up in a day.
The Simple Skinny Jeans pattern includes includes basic written instructions and assembly diagrams, as well as a download code to access a full video tutorial online! Also included are full-size pattern pieces for women’s sizes 2-20.
MATERIALS
2-1/4 yards 44-45” midweight, woven cotton spandex blend (We love stretch denim, which is a woven fabric with a bit of stretch to it, not a knit fabric. You can, however, use a mid- to heavy-weight knit to make a pair of leggings if you want - just omit the pockets and stitch details)
1/4 yard medium- to heavy-weight interlock or rib knit (for waistband)
1-1/2” wide non-roll elastic
Twin needle (4.0 width)
