This is the new updated version of the Nova (formerly Sapporo coat) pattern. With new sleeve and length options.

Go bold with this dramatic cocoon silhouette and angled seaming. Choose lightweight fabric for a spring/summer version or cosy wool for cooler weather. Our fully lined Sapporo features pockets hidden in the front seams, and is a pattern for every season: choose between cropped and long sleeves, the full length coat and the shorter jacket, and it’ll be your fave go-to piece year round.

Can be made in any woven fabric; from a light cotton, rayon or silk right through to a heavy wool. The choice is yours!

    This is the first coat I have made - it looks fabulous - I love it x if you want to make a coat give it a try !

    As soon as I saw the pic of the design made up I wanted to try and make it myself. I think the fabric I used is a bit on the stiff side, it’s a double sided fairly heavyweight cotton brocade I think it is also showerproofed. However the coat went together really well. I loved the clear instructions. I have been making up clothes from patterns for 50 years! (Using the main pattern companies. ) I think Vogue have always been my favourite. This one is easier to follow than Vogue ones it is a very clever simple cut and I think it’s well designed I will buy more from this company.

    Excellent. Easy, clear instructions. Study pattern, so easy to ensure a good fit using the multisize pattern. Will be using the site again for more patterns.
