The Horizon Day Dress is a casual, easy fitting dress. It features a relaxed style drop shoulder with 3/4 length sleeves which can be worn down or cuffed. The curved bodice sits above the natural waistline, adding interest and shape to the oversized silhouette for a flattering drape. The pattern features two views, both with inseam pockets and adjustable skirt lengths marked directly on the pattern ­— from above the knee to mid shin. View A has a full skirt while view B includes a fun patchwork style skirt. This pattern is intentionally designed with simple shapes, making it a fast and fun project to sew.

Pattern includes sizes XXS - 6XL (Bust 31” - 64” / 79cm - 162cm) 

Beginner: techniques include neck bias binding and gathering

    I haven't made this yet but did have a bit of difficulty with the fabric requirements to make this up in the Matchy Matchy style. I think the pattern needs to be a bit clearer with bodice fabric requirements. However, I emailed Fabric Godmother and had a swift and satisfactory reply . Excellent communication with the seller. Am looking forward to making the garment.

    I have to say that I had concerns before making up this very very easy and well fitting pattern. Would the fabric be too voluminous? Would it be too young for me? Would it be too gathered?
    I have to say that this had been a pleasure to sew. I cut out on day 1 and sewed it the next day. I have to say that I love, love, love this pattern now. I made my dress in a checked linen. It is actually flattering and one of those dresses that you just want to wear all the time. I am now planning my second make with a patchwork version. And just so you know, it is flattering.
    My only gripe? 1cm seam allowance instead of ⅝". However, there is room enough to accomodate a bigger seam allowance, which allows for nicer seam finishing if, like me, you don't own a serger.
