The Ginkgo Pinafore is a fully lined bodice, dart-less, multi-use wrap pinafore. It has 2 different neckline options (square and deep-V), and multiple ways to wear it. It can be tied on the sides, in the front, or in the back.
The dart-less design allows it to be worn backward or in front; you can pick one neckline or both! The adjustable ties enable you to fit it around your body to your comfort level. How you tie it will alter the fit and appearance. It features large patch pockets, a gathered skirt, and a long midi length. Wear it over a slim top, or as a dress, adapting to your personal preference.
SEWING LEVEL

FABRIC RECOMMENDATIONS:
- This pattern requires between 3.5 - 7.5 yds/meters of woven fabric, depending on the size and view you choose.
- Light - mid weight wovens are recommended for this pattern.
- Linen is the recommended fabric for this pattern, but you could make this pattern from any light-mid weight woven fabric with a little drape such as cotton, tencel, or viscose or linen/cotton viscose blends. You may choose a mid-weight wool or denim for this project, but will find the best results if you line it with a lighter fabric.
- If you opt to use a different fabric for your lining, look for a complimenting color, as it may be visible from the outside.
- In order to use your fabric wisely, you may need to cut out your pattern pieces on the cross-grain. All pattern pieces in this pattern can be cut out on the cross-grain. Please keep this in mind when selecting fabric with a directional print.
