As many have already guessed, this month’s Dream Wardrobe is very special. That’s right—it’s our brand new pattern, the Aspen dress. All Dream Wardrobe subscribers will receive it a week or so before our official launch date of January 28th.
The Aspen dress is a fashion-forward design inspired by the utility styles we are seeing on the high street right now. It features a collar and a half-moon stand. It also has optional long sleeves that gather into a cuff with a bound split opening. The cuff closes with a button and buttonhole fastening. Alternatively, you can make a simpler short sleeve with a deep-stitched hem.
About the fabric:
The pattern and fabric are both early exclusives to Dream Wardrobe subscribers. They are part of our new range of plain and patterned denim, which will launch alongside the pattern. We have included this absolutely stunning Burgundy 9oz non stretch denim.
About the pattern:
The Aspen dress is a midi-length utility dress. The key feature is an exposed zip front opening. The optional ruffled pocket adds a playful, softer finish, or you can choose the top-stitched patch pocket for a more utility look.
Inspired by brands such as Aligne and Marks and Spencer, the Aspen dress is versatile enough to be worn every season. It works well in fabrics with a bit of structure, such as cotton poplin, linen, and denim, to give this garment the body needed to make the most of the utility styling.

About your gift:
As part of the Coquette collection, we have created our own labels, which we have included in the box for you. Add them to your Aspen and all of your spring clothing.
Are you unsure about sewing the Aspen pattern, or would you just like a few pointers? We are running some classes that may interest you.
Firstly, we have two supported sewing workshops on February 1st and March 2nd. You can bring along your Dream Wardrobe box and have help from Zoe, our excellent tutor. Just book HERE.
We will also be running a sew-your-own Aspen class, where you will be guided step by step through the process of sewing an Aspen dress. This class will be held on April 26th and 27th and will be available to book after the official pattern launch date, January 28th.
