Description

Recently updated and redrafted, French Poetry created the Pleiades 2 dress in response to the success of their Pleiades 1 pattern. Pleiades 2 features bust darts, a shirt-like bodice fit and a gathered skirt at front and back. This dress pattern includes many style variations that can be combined to make a number of unique looks from one single pattern. It includes short or long sleeves and a variety of collar and skirt options.

Available sizes:

XS - 6XL

Difficulty:

3/5 – average. You need to be familiar with reading a sewing pattern, to know how to make gathers, insert a zipper, set in sleeves… Tutorials available here.

Fabric choice:

Double gauze, crepe, twill, challis, in silk, viscose, polyester, cotton, linen, tencel… but also light velvet, denim etc. Pretty much all light-weight woven fabrics. 

Notions:

11 small buttons (11mm or so) for view 1, a 21inch (55cm) zipper for view 2 only, 1, 2 small buttons for shoulder straps (optional). Interfacing in the right weight for your fabric, matching thread for your fabric, scissors, pins, a marking pen, a machine needle that fits your fabric type (use a new needle or make sure it is in good condition, to avoid scratching your fabric).
