DESCRIPTION
The Sasha Shift Dress is a simple mini dress with an all-in-one facing and pockets. It features a square neckline at the front and at the back. I love wearing my Sasha Shift Dress down to the river on a summer day, with heels for a night out, or with a turtleneck and stockings for a cozy winter day.
Some ideas for possible hacks: A tank top version. A maxi version with side slits. A frill at the hem.
FABRIC
Light- to mid weight woven fabrics are best suited for this pattern. It is very tempting to make this pattern in a heavy weight fabric, I know, but look at the width of the straps and remember that this is an all-in-one facing (meaning that you will have to pull one side of your dress through that strap loop). So, please do not go too heavy weight. I would say that the denim I used for my denim sample (350g/m2 or 12oz) is the heaviest possible fabric. If you work with heavier weight fabric, you might choose to to finish the neckline and armholes using bias binding instead of the all-in-one-facing.
