One of my favourite parts about my job is selecting the fabrics for each season. The ones I look forward to the most are the stretch cottons that we bring in for the spring. These fabrics always have the most beautiful designs on them, lots of florals in bold colours and patterns. Stretch cotton is a fabulous fabric to sew with. It has just enough body that it is ideal for a
fit and flare dress or a
fitted dress. But equally works well as a
jacket or
A line skirt. Though my all time favourite use for this type of fabric has to be a simple pair of trousers like the
Colette Clovers or
Sew over It Ultimate trousers. Pairing these bright trousers with a plain t shirt is as easy as wearing jeans but a lot more fun.
