Bright Young Things

With summer peeking out from behind its murky cloud I decided it was time to start on my first summer sewing project.....a fabulous bright blouse to wear with jeans and a pair of killer heels. There are loads of tops like this in the shops at the moment these are some of my favourites...

I started off with Toulouse cotton lawn and Vogue pattern 1128...
(sadly Vogue have now discontinued this pattern but Vogue patterns 1170 1247 8798or Colette pattern Sencha are all similar)
Basting the neck detail (use a brightly coloured thread so it’s easy to take the stitches out afterwards)
