This gorgeous dressmaking fabric is a Moiré taffeta fabric in a beautiful ivory colourway.
Moiré fabric has an incredible wavy water like appearance that uses the finishing process of calendering. This process involves sending the fabric through rollers that incorporate high temperatures and high pressures. It can also be created by adjusting the tension of the warp and weft fibres when the fabric is woven.
This beautiful silk fabric is medium weight, opaque and has a crisp handle. It would be suitable for party dresses, jackets and skirts.
